Article 217.- All electrical equipment that needs to be introduced into the mine must be approved by the Superintendence of Electricity and Fuels.
Article 395.- The national standards issued by the Superintendency of Electricity and Fuels, and the specific standards established herein shall be applicable to the facilities, equipment, materials and devices, as well as to the operation of electrical systems of mining operations.
Article 422.- The materials and equipment intended for use inside the mine or in any place of work must be of certified quality by an authorized body.
The Decree No.1 of 2024 amends the Decree No. 132 of 2002.
The Supreme Decree of the Ministry of Economy No. 298 issued on 10 Nov 2005 regulates the certification requirements of electrical appliances and combustibles.

Article 18 - The Distribution Companies may not connect to their distribution networks Executed Electrical Energy Consumption Installations, without these having been previously communicated to the Superintendency by an authorized electrical installer or by those professionals indicated in Supreme Decree No. 92 of 1983, of the Ministry of Economy, Development and Reconstruction, as appropriate, which must accompany the respective Third Party Verification carried out in accordance with the provisions of the RIC Normative Technical Sheet No. 19, on Commissioning, or the document that replaces it.
