National Standard Management Measures
Article 36
- Mandatory national standards MUST BE implemented. Products and services that do not meet mandatory national standards shall not be produced, sold, imported or provided.
- Recommended national standards are ENCOURAGED TO be adopted. Encourage the implementation of recommended national standards in activities such as infrastructure construction, basic public services, social governance, and government procurement.
Article 32
- Compulsory national standards shall be issued with the approval or authorization of the State Council.
- Recommended national standards are uniformly approved and numbered by the standardization administrative department of the State Council, and released in the form of announcements.
Article 46
- These measures shall come into force on March 1, 2023.
