Scope of legislation

1) Electrical product deemed to comply with Malaysian Standard or other standards approved by the Malaysian Authorities. (= Electrical apparatus or accessories operating at 50 Volts AC or 120 Volts DC and above) - Certificate of approval or - Letter of exemption [See CUSTOMS (PROHIBITION OF IMPORTS) ORDER 2023, FOURTH SCHEDULE, PART II, Item 3] 2) Product safety requirements caused by use of radio technology. Radio/Wireless products deemed to be certified under the Communications and Multimedia (Technical Standards) Regulations 2000. [see Customs (Prohibition Of Imports) (Amendment) (No. 4) Order 2015] 3) Batteries Import is accompanied by: - a Certificate of Conformance (CoC); or - Notification Form or a Letter of Clarification [See CUSTOMS (PROHIBITION OF IMPORTS) ORDER 2023, FOURTH SCHEDULE, PART II, Item 10] 4) Communication product deemed to comply with Malaysian Standard or other standards approved by the Malaysian Authorities. - certificate of approval issued by SIRIM Berhad. [See CUSTOMS (PROHIBITION OF IMPORTS) ORDER 2023, FOURTH SCHEDULE, PART II, Item 7]'
